My Creamsickle produced only 1 or 2 flowers at a time during June and most of July. It seemed to be in bloom all the time, but just 1 or 2. I couldn't be sure if the inner skirt would drop. It produced it's first real flush early this month. All the inner skirts dropped down, but a few of them were shredded. I'm a newbie so I can't tell you the reason for it. Only that it happened to my Creamsickle too. The only thing I can think of is the weather. We had no rain in June and most of July so the heat was constant. We got some rain starting the latter part of July giving us a break from the heat if only for a few hours at a time. This is my Creamsickle as it looked at the beginning of the month. |
