I'm thinking this was their third or fourth winter in the ground. The ones that are next to the barn freeze back but as you can see, come back with a vengence. I make as many cuttngs as I can and give them away, put them in rabbit raffles, etc. and the rest that freeze I just cut back the dead part and they come back.

I have been trying to make container trees and the more that I look at all those pots I'll have to drag in for the winter the more I am thinking about plopping them in the ground. Also, that flush is what I love. Maybe I'll just plant them and make them trees (instead of bushes) in the ground. Might be a nice back saving compromise. Good thing we own the lot next door too, I have gone crazy getting them this year.

I am sure if you were serious about finding some rabbit poo for your gardens Dick or Glen or any of the ladies at http://ARBA.net/ would be happy to get you names of rabbit breeders near you or give me a city and I'll try to find you one. Rabbit breeders love folks to come get their rabbit poo if they aren't using it in their gardens, just take a shovel and container to put it in. It's great in vegetable gardens too. I usually do my vegetable gardening and baking at grocery stores and use my gardens to grow flowers instead of vegetables.

Picturelady I think I have a friend in San Jose who raises rabbits, well, I think she is near Corralitos, a really nice lady, really cute little lop earred ones and you never know, she might have a pet looking for a home.

Here is a photo thru the white flush looking at my pink that is about to bloom. If you look closely, you can see the top of a 6' fence. This is my walking pink and the front part is coming down. I have offered some tree size cuttings if anyone in this area is interested in coming by to get them.
