I wish I had the words that could conjure it up for you. . All those pods are self pollinated. Last year I made an all out attempt to pollinate it with my different sangs and vulcanicolas. I even would cut open the very young and immature bloom and take out its anthers, then let it mature and pollinate it. However, I did a few control buds also and to my dismay they podded also without being pollinated. So I never could be sure which or if any were cross pollinated. I do have some seedlings growing so I will see about those when they bloom. You can't use other pollen on it, so most people do not have sangs or vulcanicolas to use. I wish more people would use it and would be more successful than I was. I would love a colored arborea just like the white one. It has such flair and style. I love the leaves also. |
