I picked up a 4" pot of Hoya compacta Hindu Rope because of the interesting foliage. I brought it home, repotted it and ignored it except for a splash of water every now and then.
It bloomed the next spring and the addiction began.
Funny though as DH hasn't yet told me not to bring home another Hoya. He built me a beautiful greenhouse to keep them warm in winter.
Watch out though, this is what it can turn into... and this is just a drop in a bucket.
