La Fleur Lilac dats (datura tatula) have black or very dark brown seeds. I have also got double purple and triple/double yellow - these are the seeds that are a dark tan in color. If you have seeds from these that are black,they are likely molded and no good. If you have seeds from any of these that are very light/white, they are likely no good.

Here's a picture of the seeds I got out of the pod pictured above. The light ones are no good, the darker tan ones are.
