With the probe I feel a large hard lump which I suspect is the root system of the entire plant. This lump is almost the size of the basket. Should I get a bigger basket? Line it with potting soil? I am new to ferns and can use some sage advice. I would not want to lose it as it is very nice now. Thanks for the help. I need a Boston Fern 101 class.
