Karrie- I'm not sure of your question either? But it's cut and dry taking care of them. There really is no secret to unlock. Just feed and water them. They are very easy to take care of although a bit time consuming. Everyone has their own way of how they do things. My way is to do as little as possible. I don't baby them. I toss some osmocote on and let them go. My only mistake is when I plant them in pots my pots always end up being too small. No big deal, I repot them. Here is one I've repotted twice this season and it hasn't missed a beat.
Good luck and don't make it harder on yourself then it has to be.

p.s. edited to add, I'm not a expert and I feel I don't need to be to grow these. Everything I learned about them was from here((thanks everyone)). But in the end you do what works for you.

Kyle's Pink in bloom all summer and repotted twice. Shot taken yesterday.
