Renee_O wrote: Thanks all...... It has been a real challenge growing this one. I've never babied any brug as much as this one. Whoever heard of lugging a brug into the air conditioning because it couldn't tolerate moderate heat??? A lot had to do with the weather patterns too. Wisconsin was very cool and wet this year. I doubt this will happen again in the future. It is just nice to be able to see and feel the flowers and leaves first hand. Brugie: Yes....this one is 'Inca Queen' and looks like pics I've seen. Only mine is prettier-ROFLOL :) From today on..... I'm on the death watch to see how long the flower actually holds up. It took a very long time for it to open completely. (the better part of 1 week) We're going to be hot and humid for the next few days so I'm bringing the plant inside again. There are still about 6 or 7 smaller buds that I'd like to try to pollinate. I've never seen a Flava and would like to try my hand at one...if I can be so lucky. This was taken yesterday afternoon. Almost there but not totally opened. |
