Insect and Spider Identification: CLOSED: small brown beetles, 4 by mgm03gs

They have long antenna and a black/dark brown butt. They are for the most part only on and around my front door. I have seen several of them at once, kill all of them, and several hours later there are more. I don't know where they are coming from. I tried watching then for a while to see where they are coming out of or going into, but they just king of hung out on the wood frame around the door.

If it helps any, the building I live in is an old textile mill converted into loft apartments. Also, the cat doesn't seem interested in them, unlike any other bug lol so he must have tasted one and not liked it.
