Growing up in Italy, I remember how I was lookig forward to the smell of Wisteria announcing the arrival of spring. So I did plant 2 small plants on each side of my new home. It bloomed on the second year ... just beautiful. well ... is started to sucker every where ...even 8 feets away ... It started to move the rain gater .... going around my roses strangling them ... A friend of mine said that she saw a video on tv of an old house in TX crumbled by a wisteria vine ... It took me 3 years to finally get read of this monster ... I never realized that in Italy the Wisteria grows around brick/stone constructions ... while here most of the houses are made of wood. Here some pictures of my Wisteria in Dallas |
