Insect and Spider Identification: Red and black central Florida spider?, 0 by prettyturnip

I came across this spider and I was wondering if someone can help me identify it? The picture didn't upload as well as I would have liked it to. It was a thin, black spider with longer front legs. It had a bright red spot on its underside. I don't think it was a black widow because its abdomen was not round and fat and it was not glossy looking. I am not 100% sure on the exact shape of the red spot. I didn't want to get too close. Please respond if you think you may know what species of spider this is. Thanks! :)
