I'm recently retired and want to get more into gardening. I have started with a number of perennials a few years ago. Unfortunately, I have little skill at identifying things that begin to grow in the spring, so I am uncertain if some of these are things I planted or accidental plantings (weeds?). I have included pictures of two items that seem to be trying to take over sections of my garden. Can you please help me identify them and advise if I should keep and control or eliminate them?
