Cute junco, I can't decide if he was just hunkered down to warm his feet, or sunk into the snow. I try to get the bird as close as I can, but these birds are so flighty, I have read where some of the people say they have seen the Juncos eating at the suet cakes, but I have never seen them do it. All I have ever seen them do is eat under the thistlefeed feeder and the regular feeder. They are so cute with the dark on top and the white underneath. My red-bellied woodpecker is a regular visitor now, but I have to step inside the door to warm up, as I said there is no heat in the entry way, and the amount of very cold air coming inside the door shortens my interest when my toes are freezing! But I get warm and then I go back out again.
