One is trying to sprout, and I was wondering if I should put them in the refrigerator till spring, or can I go on and plant them. I have always loved the look of Dahlias but have never tried them before. Do we get cold enough (Hempstead) for them to do well in my cottage garden? Or will I have to treat them as an annual?
