Beginner Gardening: Weeping Willow, 0 by tao4mind

If I trim back this tree a little this winter will it upset these birds so they will not return? Also, how large do these trees get? This one is pretty big and covers about half the yard in shade. Just would like to tone it down a little because it hangs over and covers the gazebo, bridge and paifang in the landscape.
