LOL ... and my success with this plant is strictly luck! My plant is an Exotic Angel also and I am truly amazed at how well it's done. Normally I re-pot every plant immediately upon arrival at my house into my own medium, but this one I just left the way it came. I keep mine on the dry side but it's hanging out by the pool where it's very humid. When I do water, it's with the garden hose and I try to stick the hose up underneath the hanging foliage to get water into the soil. During the summer I watered once a week but now that it's finally cooled off a bit here it only gets watered every two weeks. My plant gets filtered sunlight all day but it's shaded from the very hot afternoon sun by the large Schefflera tree just outside the screened pool area. I haven't had any leaf drop and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it continues to do well for me. This is the first (and only) Dischidia I've ever tried and I figured I would treat it like the Hoya's. I gave it a dose of the beer formula fertilizer once in early summer and in early September I fed it when I was fertilizing my orchids ... it was full of teeny blooms at the end of September, after I used the orchid food.
