I have a passiflora very similar or identical to Rylaff's. The occasional nighttime cold temps have shriveled a few blossoms but at the least hint of sun the vine pumps out more flowers. Here's a picture of an unnamed dark purple iris that I have planted in various beds; it has bloomed sporadically ALL YEAR -- it's like getting a surprise present every week to see where it's blooming next. At the moment I have at least a dozen of them sending up flowers. On the down side, I've been spreading the Sluggo as I keep catching baby snails emerging. And the rain makes the fallen leaves stick to the ground so they're hard to pick or rake up. |
