Hey Molly, if it is passiflora the seeds will be hard and small like the ones I pictured here for you. I have a few dozen species I keep here at the house in Florida. I have raised thousands of seedlings in efforts for passiflora rescue and peoples butterfly gardens. I normally nick the pointed end of the seed with some nail clippers just to help water penetrate the seed. I dotn get into fancy acid, juice and other stuff to "help along". The water does it just fine. I have had seeds kept under slight refridgeration up to 4 years with good success in germination. Seeds may have a shiny coat or may be dull, normally through my experiences the dull coated seeds sat in a decomposing fruit and mold attacked it. BUT the mold seeds still grew. They are a hardy seed. Good luck with yours! Chris
