Tigerlily, I have no clue what color it is. The bulb was huge though when I got it, or rather them each time. My latest still hasn't bloomed, I wonder if it will while it is inside. I do not know why I kept it in all year. Next spring I will put i tout for the summer.

I had the biggest Queen Emma a few years ago and loved it. Susie, (Calalily here) sent it to me. It must have weighed over 10 pounds. Sadly, one year it got fertilize pellets in the crown and that was that. Rot. Do not tell Susie. LOL

I went thru a huge crinum lustful period. You do not see them here at all. I had bought some amaryllis crossed with crinum bulbs (I think Amarcrinum) at HD 1 year. I love amaryllis bulbs. So that cross got me going. I will say I had loads of bloom stalks and they bloomed periodically all season. But my yard is small and they get huge. My husband dug out loads of them a couple of months ago and the bulbs were just so huge. I could not believe it. He did not get them all out evidently for they came up again. He had to dig so deep to get them all.

Now I have another bed where they must go. Those I am giving to Clare. Most came from eBay and were supposed to be fancy colors but none that have bloomed so far are different, all pink.

Today I found some so cool hybrid amaryllis belladonnas. # are NEON pink! One white flushed pink and the a few dark but not NEON pink. I am so excited. I bought some from a farmers's market 2 years ago and then never planted them. I could kick myself. I have been looking for the NEON ones for sale since. They sell them this time of year bare bulb but with the flowers attached so you can be sure of the color that is if you can find them for sale at all.
