My friend who has faithfully watered and tended to my plants when I am not home happens to be away. She hasn't had the pleasure of seeing these open, so Saturday night about midnight, I cut these two blooms, wrapped the ends of the stems in damp paper towels and put them in a cake keeper (inverted) and set them on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. This morning, they are still partially open and when I lifted the lid, they are still fragrant.
