I have many sumac trees growing around here and I thought they were pretty much going to be all the same. Then they began to bloom and now I am looking at the plants a little closer. There are notable differences in a couple of varieties I have found but, looking at files is getting me a bit confused (although it seems that I stay confused to some degree).

Here is this variety that has lavender to purple colored leaf stems and the berry clusters are tight and growing out in a maroon color.

These are growing near the pond and look nice, giving a bit of a tropical look.

I would guess this one to be Lance leaved sumac/Prairie sumac, Rhus lanceolata.
