Insect and Spider Identification: Is this a Blackburn Sphinx?, 0 by midnighsky

Ok, I am really into photography and the other day I was outside taking pictures when I spotted this moth. I must say this moth really looks similar to the endangered Blackburn Sphinx moth. I would really appreciate some feedback about this moth and it's true identity. The one thing I found strange about this being a Blackburn Sphinx is that I found this moth in Alabama.

Also this was a rather large moth.
