Bea, I have the "very petite" Pacific Tree Frog tadpoles, so they are in a small aquarium with some pondwater in it, and an area where they can climb out when they turn into frogs. I have it covered with window screening, due to the darn mosquito larvae in the water. Bullfrog tadpoles can stay tadpoles for an entire year and get quite large. I learned this the hard way with my first foray into frog acquisition. LOL. Here is a pic of me holding a second year bullfrog tadpole:
