Beginner Gardening: how to build a barrel wildlife pond, 0 by lungo

Any help would be appreciated and whether this is a project that I can actually see wildlife or am i wasting my time??
Sorry for being negative but I do live in the city and was hoping I can still attact wildlife.
adding pictures of my garden so that it will give you some idea of whether i can do this and if so where is a good place to do the barrel?
