I was busy yesterday .. planted the first wave of my veggie container garden. Three types of lettuce, spinach and carrots. I also moved a confederate rose to its final spot and noticed my sweet peas are starting to bloom .. I had such bad luck last year with them that I planted them in the fall and I have big beautiful lush plants instead of scraggly little ones. That's the trick for sweet pea in our area .. plant in the fall. The one in the picture is of Painted Lady .. the jury is still out as to whether or not I really like the fragrance. As a evanescent afterthought on an errant breeze it is kind of nice though.

Also I was horrified to find a tick attached to me this morning when I took a shower .. luckily it was still small, so it hadn't been attached for long. I did a quick search to see if Lyme disease is a problem here .. it's not ..low risk thank goodness!
