If you remember, about 4 years ago, or so, I bought this variegated Brug in a 4" pot from a grower at a Flower Mart. I sent you pictures to ID it--and it was deemed to be "Peaches and Cream".....The man I bought it from called it "Peach Parfait". Eventually, it was deemed to be a Maya b/c of the long calyxes of the blooms. So--Maya it is! It grew HUGE last Summer but did not bloom until late October. By then, I had pulled the pot out of the bed and was cutting it all back so I could take it in my basement for the winter. You should have seen it! There were buds on EVERY stem-tip. All over the place! That really hurt! What a flush that would have been! So--I had a lot of cuttings and now they are all rooted. Look at the size of it last Summer! I blame it on a bit too much Dynamite slow-release pellets when I potted it up. I think it made a big plant at the cost of blooming..... |
