Some are cultivars that are first-time bloomers for me, and others are five-year-old seedlings that are first-time bloomers. It's a long time to wait to not see them bloom so that's when the greenhouse comes in very handy. It's not so much to protect my plumies from freezing because it doesn't free here; it's so that they will continue to bloom in the heat of the greenhouse.
