Barb, you should get a hold of a CURVED Kelley Clamp. Ask you doctor for an old one or get him to order you a cheap one. You just stick it to in the tube and attach the clamp to the anthers and give it a twist and out they come. I even used it on my pink vulcanicola blooms which are so narrow and my blooms were fine after. I also leave the stigma in so I can pollinate that but still get the pollen.
Sometimes you see them at flea markets. Or do you know a reformed old hippie? They used to be a favorite for smoking roaches I think they were called!

I am not telling how I got mine........LOL
