That too, is a very pretty one.

Think we will be seeing a lot of pretty new ones this year.

Thanks for sharing.

I love it. Can't wait for mine to grow and bloom. I love the tiny flowers.

Calalily, this is the one I was telling you about. Crossed it with Pink Beauty trying to bring out a brighter pink. I hate to do it but they bloom-I photograph-then I slice the sides and pollinate. Forgot-I remove pollen. What do you think would be a good daddy?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Nice little bloom. I would also like to see more color in a small bloom.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Gorgeous! I like it.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Barb, I really like it. A 3 inch bloom is tiny. You might be able to start a Brug mini series.LOL

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Brugie, I'm with you. Calalily tells me there is a white and the Candida Classic Pink, now we need some peach and yellow. Some doubles would be nice.

I have Antique Lace, a peach colored small flower. Here is a pic of it just as it opened. Now to get a yellow one(I'm working on it, not only small flowers, but short plants)
I would put L'Amour or Pink Beauty on the Classic Pink to darken the color.

Adorable Barb! I want the first mixed bush that has a variety of different flowers in it for the small garden! I could never have all the brugs. I am at my limit now! LOL

Barb, you should get a hold of a CURVED Kelley Clamp. Ask you doctor for an old one or get him to order you a cheap one. You just stick it to in the tube and attach the clamp to the anthers and give it a twist and out they come. I even used it on my pink vulcanicola blooms which are so narrow and my blooms were fine after. I also leave the stigma in so I can pollinate that but still get the pollen.
Sometimes you see them at flea markets. Or do you know a reformed old hippie? They used to be a favorite for smoking roaches I think they were called!

I am not telling how I got mine........LOL

Kell--now we know. Those are not all pink flower you grow--you are just seeing wild and crazy thing. LOL

Calalily, I used PB. When you start to take cuttings of AL, please keep me in mind for a cutting. I would like to try Tropical Sunset on it to see if we could get a yellow flower with orange skirt. Do you know how plant size is passed on to another plant. My memory of Mendel's experiment fails me at this time. In other words, does it matter if the mother or father is the carrier of the small size gene?

Barbara, I'm still working on growing out some of the crosses, but it seems like its a maternal trait.

Candida Classic Pink and Antique Lace are both superb. I love them both. Thanks for posting those pictures Cala and Bward.

Barbara your Candida Pink Classic is adorable. Can't wait to see mine grow up!! Susie, your Antique Lace is precious also. Love both of them.

If memory don`t fail me Mendels experiment was with peas with two different colors for flower and two different kind of seed types, smooth and wrinkled. As I recall it the conclusion would have been the exactly same regardless, which of the two was used as mother. However, much knowledge has been discovered since, so I am not sure what counts for Brugs. That could be interesting though. I have buds of a few now and it could be fun to make a reciprocal (spelling???) test-cross between a double and a single and see how many doubles result from using the double as mother and how many from using the single as a mother. That should at leats cast a bit light into the question.

Pollinated with PB and it didn't take. Will try again next time it blooms.
