I think my favorite is rudbeckia triloba aka Brown Eyed Susan. I pulled out about 80% of mine last year and I still have tons. It's just a happy, long blooming plant that merrily reseeds but is easy to control. This pic is from this morning. If I want some in another part of the yard I just dead head the blooms in that area. And I love that it starts blooming when everything else is starting to have issues with the heat.
