Hi, Toadlily!!! How are you!!! Yes, I will get you one...you're number 3, k? Even if he doesn't have any new sprouts right now, no worries...next to potato vines and brugs, they are about the easiest thing to root! Mine will be big enough soon!!

You're the one who sent the umbrella palm? Thank you!!! Yes, I can't believe it, but yes, it has survived! It got thrown into a pot and never watered, but it was outside and it came back to life in Feb, froze up again, then sprung back last month...pretty tough little guy!! I was going to put it by the pond, but I have this area on the side of the house that never drains...black clay over a slab of limestone...I needed plants that can live in swamp conditions over there. I'll take a picture for you and post it. I love it!!

Do you know who gave me the jasmine? I wasn't sure what it was until a couple of days ago when it started blooming!! And it's one that I don't have yet...my landscaper says it's a confederate jasmine (I have sambac and chinese)...it smells soooo lovely!!!

What do you mean 'either' of them...there are more than one? I only know about a round-up in Fredericksburg in October (I think?). When is the other one? I'll be at both wherever they are!! I'm sooo mad I had to miss Texoma at the last minute...my hubby and stepbrat (kidding) had such a great time!! I only got to go from 4am-9am on the last day to sleep in between Mana shows, but got to meet Smockette! No one else was around!! I have so many things from that round-up, not sure what some of them are, or who gave them to me, but I love them all!!

As for the pond, it's still bare. Posting a picture below. I can't stand the algae, so I shocked it with pool chemicals...do you think the pond irises will still live? It's been 4 days now and they seem amazingly okay, but I was wondering if they would live in the swamp side of the house? I planted some short, red canna seeds around it, if you can see them in the picture, and I have sambac jasmine on the sides which I intend to keep short and bushy. I don't know what else I'm going to plant up there...need something to hide the plastic edges, and maybe trail down around the walls...my landscaper said climbing rosemary because I need something evergreen, but I don't think it's all that attractive. What do you think I should do? Oh, and aren't the fish cute? They are from my mother's old garden...
