I like single trunk trees the best for me for I do not have the room for huge bushes. Though you can have both if you just cut off one of the sprouts when it gets tall. I find my trunk below the Y, keeps growing even if it has Yed. Just make sure you cut one that has a high Y if it has Yed to ensure a nice tall tree.
