I had some very special visitors yesterday and they stayed the night to bring in the New Year with us. I got a call from Susie from South Padre where they were vacationing and she said that they could come by for a visit on their way back way home even though I am probably more than an hour out of the way. I was so excited and surprised because Susie had thought that they might be able to come by on their way to South Padre but they decided to go another route so that they could visit some other sites and take Lauren to the River Walk in San Antonio. I was disappointed but I understood. So you can see why I was so happy when I received Susie's call. Anyway, they decided that they would stay the night and we stayed up until 1:30 talking and I feel we could have talked all night but we knew that they had to get on the road again today. Bill wanted to leave at 9:00 but it was 11:30 before they left. It is so hard to stop visiting when everyone is having such a good time. This was definitely a special New Year's Eve for us that we will always remember. Thanks Susie, Bill and Lauren for giving us this memory.
