Anyway, I have a shelf with fluorecent lights that has turned out to work really good for cuttings. Look at the cute little log cutting (thanks for the tip tiG). I have lots of those and they will grow out of the shelves before spring.
I have an extra room that I could turn in to a plant room, and have been checking out plant lights on the internet. It seems to me that I could use one 1000 watt Metal Halide (found one with extended red spectrum) that would pretty much take care of the whole room.

The questions are; If I put a humidifier in the room, will I get mold problems on the walls?
It says keep tops of plants 4 to 6 feet away from lamp. That would only give me 3 feet or so of growing space from the floor. Are they talking about directly under the light?
A friend of mine says that helicopters flying over the house can pick up signatures from the light and I will end up getting my door kicked in by the cops that will come to search for illegal plants. Any truth to that?

Oh my, what to do! Any tips would be appreciated.
