I wanted to say that I also really liked Carol's article about starting new plants from the stems of existing mother plants. I tried burying the long bare stem of my H. ischnopus about a week ago and here is the result (lower right-hand corner of photo). Using bobby pins is ingenious! Great way to make new plants for the faint of heart or with expensive hoyas....worst case scenario, the vine won't root, but you won't harm the mother plant either!
