A year ago we had our pond enlarged at it had gone dry. The dozer operator told us he thought the crawdads caused it. He found arm sized holes in the soil. He suggested that we drop mothballs in the smaller holes around the edges but I was apprehensive as my dogs swim and drink it. There are also many shorebirds (no stocked fish at this time). I would like to know there would be no long term effects.
