Depending on the age of the flower, it will appear like yours or rounder. The flower color can vary with the weather from pale golden yellow to a dark golden yellow.
The leaves are entire (smooth edged)

This is a photo of my mother's CG taken this past November before this year's freak winter in California killed it down to the ground. The flowers hidden underneath the canopy were a dark gold color. Beautiful!
