I think maybe the secret is to photograph flowers with a higher resolution setting on your camera. I don't know a whole lot about my new digital camera. I HATE reading directions in books!!!! On the "Post your perfect Rose bloom" Thread, I asked someone how she got this absolute clarity and the 3D effect on all her Rose pictures. Like--you could see inside the bloom and see every vein and every edge and such, and she told me she photographs her pictures in the HQ 2560x1020 setting. She has an Olympus C-5050 200zoom 5.0 camera. Whatever all that means....... I have only taken ONE picture of a Rose that fits in this quality of a category. How it turned out that way, I have NO clue. I was standing amid 2 bushes and had my cultivator tool in the left hand to hold the rose towards the camera. I took the photo with the camera held in only my right hand, BUT---it was a masterpiece!!!!! Even if i say so myself. I even entered it in DG Photo contest. Did not win, but I like it so much it is my Desk Top wallpaper. Maybe you have seen it, maybe not, but here it is again! It only had this ONE bloom all last year as it was a newly planted Rose. It is called "First Prize". I always feel it could be in a Geographic Magazine or something....... Gita |
