Then I remembered I had some left over Alocasia Borneo giant pollen in the fridge. I put all the pollen down in the flower in hopes to get a F2 Hybird. I know a little about genetics with your F1 hybrids you get varieations from both the mother and father in most if not all the seedlings a combination of both plants so to say. In F2 hybrids you get a much wider spectrum of hybrids you will get mixtures at both extreme ends. So with the F2 hybrids I could get truely monterous plants with the same colorations. So I maybe able to get what looks to be longloba form with broneo size leaves. Lets keep our fingers crossed for this one. Here is a pic of the seeds coming along. |
