One year I dumped plant pots with dirt and styrofoam peanut in the hole and back they came and dug it out.
Last year DH piled or bags of leaves and junk the roofers left on the ground over there. It did not appeared anyone still lived there. Whe I dumped them in the compost pile in March I saw the indent from the hole. Just 1 week ago I noticed it is dug back out again. Below is a picture.

Over the years it has been there none and (we have had 3) of our dogs have ever messed over there, never barked at the hole, nothing. That seems really weird to me. Even Princess our Doxie now growls and barks hatefully at those huge grasshoppers but not this den.

Could it be an armadillo? I don't care. It doesn't hurt anything. I am just curious "Whose been sleeping in my yard"
