Wanted to jump in and say Hi! Although a Maine native, moved to Virginia in '99, we spend at least 2-3 weeks in Michigan every summer and I love it! My husband's family has property on Lake Charlevoix and that is where we stay while exploring the woods and waters of MI. Finally made to the UP this summer but were only able to stay for a couple of days. There's just too much to see "up" there! Have to admit to being somewhat of a 'rockaholic' and the beaches of the Great Lakes are a paradise for rockhounds - pic of the gorgeous rocks in the water of Lake Superior at Grand Marais.
