It's grown incredibly slowly. It's looked like a mistreated red--headed step child forever. I've not really taken care of it, short of splashing water it's way occasionally (which, I'm sure contributed to it's slow growth). This year, though, I took new interest in it. It finally picked up a little speed and began growing. Plus, I guess I just developed a soft spot for it, I gave it a nice roomy new pot earlier in the spring. Well, the little booger started blooming - and gave me a big surprise (in a tiny package)! Two flushes now of identical flowers, so though not conclusive, I don't thing it's a fluke. This thing - remember, a sport of a green sport of Peaches & Cream - is blooming tiny little white suav-like flowers! Very cute and held almost vertically, I love them! Yes, I am certain this is not a tag mix up thing - this is one of those plants everyone has that you would know. If it lost its tag and you were fully blind folded, wrapped in a body bag, with your eyes & nose taped shut, you would know it. You know you have at least one. This is one of those. Well, it's kind of become a little celebrity at my house and seems to enjoy it's new status! (edited because, geez, I can't proof read for crap!!) This message was edited Jul 25, 2006 4:40 PM |
