Hi Gita!

I live near Sinai Hospital. Nice to meet a fellow Baltimorean. I think I have also seen you post on Garden Web? We gardeners are just all over the place, aren't we? ;)

I got most of my begonias recently from the Maryland Home and Garden Show a few weeks back. They came from Hunter's Greenhouse in Drumore, PA. I bought a few wandering jews and a peperomia from them too. They are usually there every year and have very nice plants. Bug free and healthy. There was another vendor there as well, out of Rhode Island. He sold me a couple of begonias too, though they were not quite as nice as Hunters.

Oh, I also bought several from the Howard P. Rawlings Conservatory here in Baltimore. I got the Bunchii, Richmondensis(sp?), and two other NoIDs from there. I think you might have heard PA Pete talk about his volunteering there. They really do have beautiful plants. I'll place a link in here so you can see some of the pics I took w hen I went there on Friday.

Your Beefsteak and Cane are really pretty. I don't think I have ever seen a beefsteak begonia. It's gorgeous! Those canes are easy and vigorous, aren't they? So forgiving. What color are the cane's flowers?

I'll include some pics I took at work today. I have so many NoID begonias! This one is one of my favorites because of both the coloring and the pretty pink flowers. I bought it at Watson's in Lutherville. I slum there and at Valley View Farms on the weekend. Carrie Engel always kids me about keeping them in business. LOL
