You don't have to have them close to the bulb with one of these! I've been using Superthrive, and misting the leaves with a hormone-like protein called Messenger. The potting mix is a combination of Miricle Grow, Pearlite, and a small proportion of Pigeon doo......gotta be carefull with that as it can burn plants, it's super high in Nitrogen tho. I don't know if it's the lights, soil mixture, additives or combination of all, but the plants are now fighting for space with leaves overlapping and a couple feet tall. I'm glad I didn't start anymore than I did as I can see, before spring, space will be at a premium. |
