What a personal story of 9/11. I bet it has really left a mark on your life. I did know that some of the money will be donated to such a great cause. With climbers, there is a saying which of course I can't remember, but it essentially says that the 1st year they sit there, and the second is not much more but then the 3rd they leap into growth. I have found this to true. I have a 4th of July that has sat there for 2 years with little upward growth, and this year I have high hopes it will finally climb up over the arbor. 4th of July is a parent to Soaring Spirits. Did any of your blooms have more pink in them? The promotional pictures they release of new hybrids usually are way too flattering. They make it hard to judge their colors accurately, sight unseen. I am going to intertwine Night Owl together with Soaring Spirits over an arbor. Though I do hesitate a bit, worried my gaud lust might be in overdirve here. LOL All I need is a deep deep purple tree brug to stand next to this arbor! Can you imagine that? This message was edited Jan 12, 2006 11:20 AM |
