We had a very sick water oak tree that needed to come down. We were lucky it didn't fall on the house this hurricane season. I loved this tree. It was home to so many birds and other wildlife. It also protected my shade growing gingers and all my rare tropicals that I've collected over the years. They are all getting smashed!. As I look out the window I am watching huge limbs fall and crush my plants. The guys cutting down the tree are showing no mercy. I don't think I'll look outside until its over...ah well, it is only plants right...?
