I used what ever good quality potting soil that was on sale, these guys go through so much water and fertilizer in the summer that I don't think it makes much difference, as long as it drains well.
I used three or four different brands all with success.

When starting seeds a little different story, I used MG potting soil and Microwaved to sterilize it.
