Oh man, I am ecstatic! Yesterday I stopped by a large nursery while visiting my daughter in a near-by town. Went straight to the "houseplant" section looking for hoyas. Found this hanging basket that is marked "H. Nummulariodes" and it is FULL of blooms!! Of course, I did the Happy Dance like nobody's business (much to my daughter embarrassment - LOL). Bought that beauty, hung it on the shirt hook in the back seat of the car & within seconds, the entire car was filled with a wonderfully sweet fragrance! I couldn't believe such tiny blooms could create so much aroma.
AlohaHoya - - I checked your list of hoyas and the name does appear, but no picture. Would anyone care to verify the name? Honestly, I don't care WHAT it's called - I'm thrilled to pieces to have found it. And at $15.99....what a deal!!
The leaves are very THICK and sandpapery-feeling......and seem to be spaced rather far apart. There are penducles all OVER and several blooms of little white stars with pink centers. No bigger than the tip of my pinky finger.
Take a look and see......tell me what you all think.
THANKS.....Betsy
