A good rule of thumb to store the plants here in Houston is Thanksgiving weekend. I bring them out around Easter time. Obviously, things may shift a week or 2 if you watch the weather forecasts. I choose to do it then because I have college age kids who come home during those times and can pitch in. The task is very difficult, and is very time consuming considering how many I have to dig and store. Here is a photo of our 12 year old Celadine (now approx age 20) getting moved into the garage. Some years we trim off the leaves before storage, some years we leave them on and let them fall off naturally later. That can tend to be a big mess in the garage late...
