If you are sick of waiting, take a clean sharp blade and cut a little window in the pod. And see if the seeds are brownish. If white, do not pick yet!! I learned this trick from Susie. And then she uses crazy glue to put the piece back. LOL. I have left the wound open myself but I am careful not to get it wet after. We have no rain here, so it does not get wet inside and rot. When you go to pick it, just break it open with your fingers. I take the seeds out and put in a colander. I wash them well getting all the pod stuff off. Then I take them and dry in a paper towel. Then I transfer them to a dry paper towel and put under lights. You want them to dry in about 24 to 36 hours. They will mold if you let them stay wet too long. GOOD LUCK!!! And your brug sounds delightful!! Here is one of my old pods. |
